FILTEMEX, S.A. DE C.V., our Mexico manufacturing facility, announces it has obtained the UL Certificate of Compliance for optical fiber cables (QAYK), complying with the UL 1651 standard and OFNR (Optical Fiber Nonconductive Riser) fire rating. Issued on May 27, 2026, this certification marks another important milestone for our North American production base.

OFNR-rated fiber cables are specially designed for riser shaft installations in buildings, meeting strict fire safety requirements for vertical cable runs between floors. The UL certification demonstrates that our fiber cabling products pass rigorous flame and smoke testing, satisfying the safety codes widely adopted in data centers, AI computing clusters and enterprise network projects across the United States and Mexico.

This accreditation validates that the optical fiber cables manufactured at our Querétaro plant fulfill North American building and electrical safety standards. Combined with our MPO cabling and connector portfolio, we are fully capable of supplying fire-rated high-density fiber interconnection products for local data center deployments, as well as supporting flexible OEM & ODM orders.
